iPhone 5 charges but doesn't show up in device manager or mac?

So... before anyone links articles to recovery mode or DFU, please note I've gone down every one of the software paths. I've spent days working on this. My main question at this point is whether anyone thinks this may be hardware and if so, do you think replacing just the charging dock would be worth a shot?

I have 4 lightning cables and 6 charge blocks. The iPhone 5 will charge perfectly from each wall-charger.

My MacBook Air, Windows 8 Laptop, nor either of our Windows 8 and Windows 7 PCs will see the iPhone nor will any of them charge. Under windows the device manager never moves and nothing is added when it's plugged or unplugged. There are 2 ports on the laptop (both USB3) which begin to initiate a charge but after a second it stops; the 4 usb2 ports simply smile at me. (I'm guessing USB3 pathways provide power slightly different then USB2, nevertheless, it simply does not show up under windows or the mac).

iOS 6.1 is on the phone and yes, it is jailbroken. The jailbreak wasn't the cause because I transferred iTunes stuff all the time... until recently. I have done a semi-restore of the phone using SemiRestore, leaving only OpenSSH and Evasi0n on it. I removed cydia and all that fun stuff... I simply wanted SSH well.. because I love to write objective-c/opengles apps and I'm curious about the file structure after implementation. Yes, this is a test phone.

At any rate... obviously without the USB functionality to the PC/Mac I can't perform a restore or upgrade... or upgrade to iOS7.

So the question is, do you think I should replace the charging dock or do you think there's another hardware component that could be faulty?

Please... if you're just going to Troll... at least make it funny and amusing or worthwhile for others to read.

Thanks!
