My iPod will not notice the charger at all?
My 30 GB iPod will not notice the charger i think it my be the port, I have no clue whats wrong. any ideas?

it could be a fluid damage or a lint in the dock connector, i would first try to clean it with a soft paintbrush - if there is anything "white" on the connector, i would use rubbing alcohol and the paintbrush to clean it.
try to charge it with the wall charger

I am having the same problem. I plugged the charger into the iPod and nothing happens at all. The iPod isn't detecting the charger. The computer isn't detecting the iPod. The battery finally drained and died so now it does nothing at all. I have tried different charging cables, tried connecting to 2 different computers, and tried a car charger. I used a soft brush to clean the inside of the dock, but still, nothing.
The iPod wasn't used that much, but it was charged when I finally did use it again after a few months. But now it seems to be dead.

check the dock connector for bent contacts, received a 5g a few dasy ago, one of the contacts was totally pressed on the "bottom" of the outer side of the connector (bottom when you held the iPod up side down and look inside the connector)
