No picture/sound after formatting Wii and ejecting disc, what do I do?

I formatted my Wii, returning it to its factory state, and I then shut it down. Immediately after shutting it down, I remembered that there was a game disc still inside the system, so with everything still connected, I hit the eject button, which turned it on, but no picture or sound came from the TV. The disc didn't come out at first, so I hit the eject button a couple of times quickly, with the disc coming out after maybe the second or third time, but still no picture or sound. I turned it off and on again multiple times, disconnected and reconnected the cables, but still no picture or sound.
