How do you separate the digitizer from the glass?

The glass on my iPod touch 5th Gen is cracked. the digitizer is still working. So is the LCD. I know the digitizer is glued on with the glass but how do I separate it? Also want to know how do I glue the new glass back on.

The glue is called Loca. This kind of repair is not an easy repair and repairs a good skill knowledge as well as patience.

You can get bonded sheets on ebay however personally on all the iPhone I prefer to do a full assembly.

There is too much at risk with separating them. Have a look at the how to guide.

Im with Cammy, if you dont have the right equipment to properly separate the digitizer assembly, 9 times out of 10, youll end up with a broken LCD display. And if you meet someone on the street that claims they know how to do it, steer clear, ive seen too many people come into our shop after "john doe" took thier phone home in one piece and handed it back in 5 different pieces.

Does that mean i have to buy the LCD, Digitizer, and glass together? That's really expensive
