Tried replacing power button, screen is now black but phone working.

Yesterday I tried replacing the power button for my iphone 4s, but I faced some problems after reassembling it. The screen doesn't turn on, not at all. I'm not sure what the problem is, I've tried dissasembling and reassembling it again, but still nothing. The phone itself seems to be functioning, for example when plugging it in it starts vibrating. I've managed to enter DFU mode and I'm currently restoring it, but the screen is still not turning on at all.

Did you take the screen off when fitting the power button if you didn't that's the problem as you have bent the ribbon cables on the screen to much and now it's damaged... If not make sure you have screen connector seeded properly

Do you mean that I should have taken the whole display off when placing it? The guide didn't mention that at all :s

Yes mate you should have taken screen out as you can damage the flex cables by bending them back to far which I'm afraid you have probobly done..make this mistake the first time I done the repair a long time ago lol
