PB won't start-up after reassembly & resetting keyboard

I took it apart again, reseated the keyboard connection, checked the on-button connection, and reseated the trackpad connection. No change. Say, what's the problem with scotch tape. I replaced the torn up yellow tape with it. Gulp! Thanks

I was changing out the keyboard. Six keys stopped working after it got wet last summer. Also, the display data cable is going. It was crimped at the hinge and display was going in and out. Changing it is a BIG deal to me, as the keyboard proved. Looking at used Mac Pros. I bid contracts off plans on my laptop, so need the big screen. Thinking it's time to give in. Opinions? Thanks

Chosen Solution

Connector

If the connector was not torn loose check the alignment of pins... Given a known good keyboard the connector is the point source failure... if the replacement was a used keyboard could be switch or wiring faults.

If you want a larger screen a new box is the only way to get one.
