The battery leaked, and the battery pack was destroyed.

Hello, I just saw that my 2006 Teddy had batteries left inside the battery pack. We tried cleaning the battery pack with baking soda solution, to my suprise, a part of the battery pack was broken. I do not how it is called, but its the iron inside the battery pack, the one where the battery's negative side is placed. Im just wondering if I can still have the toy done by replacing the parts of the battery pack, by buying parts from hardwares or electronics stores. There are no repair shops here in the Philippines. :(

Maria Lovely de Leon, is it the door that has corroded or the opposite side inside the pack? Can you post some images of the damage so we can determine which part you need? Yes it can be fixed.....:-)

Hello oldturkey03... thanks for replying. i attached a photo. These are ghe parts that were corroded, and the one at the lower right was the one destroyed.
