Does your phone restart after display reassembling?

My phone has the blue vertical stripes where I can't see anything on the screen, but is still functional. It is suggested that I do the display reassembling and get a new screen. My only question is, will my phone be exactly the same after? If I have unread texts, will they still be there after I get the new screen? Same with pictures, etc? Thanks!

Yes, all of your data and settings should be the same after a screen replacement.
