iPhone is stuck on vibrate mode

Hello, I dropped my iPhone in some water yesterday. I got it out right away, and I believe my case prevented a lot of water damage. However, since then, my phone is stuck on vibrate. I've flipped the switch on the side of my phone and it says I'm putting it on ring mode, but it immediately puts it back in silent mode without me flipping the switch back. Is there a way I can override the switch, or do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Taking it apart and cleaning around the buttons and maybe reflowing the solder may help. If it just took a very quick dunk you might just have some water around the buttons causing them to act crazy. I did the same thing to my phone and it would act wild until i got it open and totally dried it out and went over connections with some alcohol orcleaner.
