Mu Computer freezes at high temperature.

My MacBook Pro 15" a1226 freezes when it gets hot. In front of the air conditioning it works fine. I have replaced the thermal paste buy it didnt work. The fans seem ok. What can it be? Thermal sensors? The heat sink?

A poor job of replacing the paste, or sensors, failing fans. When you put the paste on you must first clean off all the old paste. You must also not put the paste on too thick. Lots of dust on logic board can retain heat… a failing battery my generate extra heat. Try running it with the battery out and just the charger for power (be careful a sudden unplug can damage the HD)

I read the link "applying thermal paste" before performing it. I cleaned the old one that was not covering all the surface and seemed old. And I also cleaned the fans and all the dust. I will try to reset the SMC and

See if it will not freeze anymore. I will try to run a AHT to.

Sometimes, especially with temperature issues, you might have to run AHT 2 or 3x in order to get the machine hot enough to toss an error.
