SSD not recognized in system

Well I have the same problem, I bought a Kingston HyperX SSD SATA 3. I replaced the Apple HDD (Toshiba) and the SSD isn't recognized, even in disk utility. I also tried with a Hitachi HDD it also is not recognized, the only HDD recognized is the Apple Toshiba drive.

I have a MBP mid 2012

Any idea?

Thanks

It depends, you need to search the data cable for your specific macbook

See this similar problem. It could also be an EFI/driver problem. Have you checked the manufacturers support site/knowledge base?
