Fix audio jack that works ONLY with original white apple ear buds?

My audio jack works with the official white apple ear buds (that I don't particularly care for) but has ceased accepting any other type, including ear buds that used to work. Ideas for a fix or replacement part? Thanks.

There's not a whole lot you can do with a damaged headphone jack A work around would be a USB audio adaptor… it would have a line out/headphone jack.

Thanks- I had thought of a USB adaptor but was just wondering about the jack itself. It's a weird little issue.
