Replaced Battery with your repair kit but it still won't charge?

My battery was drained so I replaced it using your repair kit. Followed all the steps and it turned on and I was happy but it was short lived as I found out it won't charge now. I plugged it in to the wall, on to my laptop, and on to my iHome and it won't charge at all. The thunderbolt symbol won't show at all. What should I do?

Hector Rodriguez, there are a couple of possibilities. Check the dock connector and make sure there is no corrosion, broken or bend pins. Clean it with some isopropyl alcohol, a soft brush and a few puffs of compressed air. Try a new cable as well. If that does not work, disassemble your iPod using these guides. Check the battery connector carefully. On this model iPod it has a tendency of breaking of the logic board. Make sure it is still properly connected. Should that be okay, then you are having problems with your power management IC, which will require you to either replace it (it is a SMD component and requires special soldering and skills, or to replace the logic board. Hope this helps, good luck.

Same here. Replaced it, seemed fine for a while (few hours) now won't charge or turn on and it makes a whirring noise like it's shutting down. Any hope?
