iPhone 4 logic board heats up

When my iphone is charging its logic board gets really hot, sometimes got enough that I can't even hold the phone.the right side of the iphone gets hot (Screen facing me). If I'm playing games or on the internet it sometimes gets hot too.

By the way I live in a town were I can't go to a apple store and I don't want to take apart my phone.im kind of worried can somone please answer this :)

The iPhone heating up can be a few things it could be that a new battery is needed or could heat up if it was water damaged
