My ipod photo is terribly scratched. Since I need to replace the battery I thought I'd replace the scratched display while I had the ipod open, however I can't tell if the case has a plastic window over the display or if the case has an open window where the display is exposed. Do I replace the case or the display for a scratch free screen?

Kit, the outer case has a plastic that covers the display. No need to replace the display, only if it is definitely damaged (unlikely). Hope this helps, good luck
