Replaced battery, now phone doesn't switch on vibrates when charging

I replaced my iPhone 5 battery today as per the IFixit guide this morning. It was a bit of an effort at first as the battery seemed to be stuck down to an adhesive sticker. Once replaced I carefully screwed everything back together.

I had completely detached the screen during this process.

When I tried to switch my phone on, it was unresponsive, when attempting to charge it was vibrating every 2 seconds.

- I have tried this with a wall charger/USB charger

- My iPhone is recognised by Windows Explorer and I'm able to browse photos etc.

- Tried resetting my phone by holding down the power/home button and lock button separately for 30 seconds/more.

My fear is I may have bricked my LCD screen! Maybe I've shorted something too.

I hope someone has seen this before and can advise.

Answer this question I have this problem too

disconnect the battery, disconnect the lcd cables and then reconnect the battery

the vibrate noise you hear is the phone telling you there's a problem with whatever LCD is connected to the logic board

You probably bricked your screen. While it's loose and seperated from the case a little, plug it in to check if the backlight of the screen is turning on.

I bet the connector just lifted a bit --lift the screen disconnect battery, and reseat the LCD connector. Try again. You can turn on screen without installing it back in case.

Unless you had water damage--in which case you may need to replace backlight coil

I have the same problem.

Screen will not turn on. However computer recognizes the phone and the phone keeps vibrating. Pattern: Two buzzes followed by a short pause.

Did try disconnecting and reconnecting the three connectors from screen to body. No luck.

Just make sure you LCD cables are plugged in, and the little shield is correctly on. When I put mine back on it wasn't fully on, and it gave me black, and grey lines. This should help
