Screwhole stripped, not the screw

During a LCD/digitizer replacement, I seemed to have stripped the four corner screw holes for the LCD, which is really weird. I inspected the screws and the screws are not stripped but they will not screw into their proper place. I've made sure that there are no obstructions from the new LCD or otherwise that would prevent these really tiny screws from staying in place, thus my feeling that the screw hole is stripped. Anyone ever experience this? Is there some type of "filler" or weak glue that I can use just to give the screw something to thread into that will allow me to unscrew them again if I have to? Any suggestions/ideas/comments appreciated.

You have not gotten the screws started right. Be very careful and screw those screws in carefully, and stop with a firm tighten, do not over-tighten or you will strip or damage them.
