Hi rock,

I had an issue with a Lenovo T34 some time ago installing Win7. It simply did not work from CD - and reset during initial installtion. After i created a bootable flash drive the same installation worked perfect.

One could suspect CD driver buffer issue, or timing issue with slow CD drive.

Try installing etc. Linux Mint, from a flash stick.

Use http://www.pendrivelinux.com/boot-multip...

for an easy way to make the thumb drive needed.

If that works, then you should use flash stick instead of CD with Win7.

Best of luck Carsten

try using a external drive that may work if you are having trouble with the built in one
