I have a video screen that went bad. I replaced the screen but Apple said there was something else wrong with it relating to the video. I didn't want to pay the $1220 they suggested in order for them to fix something that I may be able to do much cheaper. What components (Internally) are required in order to have a successful video picture?

From the suggested cost they want to replace the logic board. To check that out hook up an external monitor and see what kind of video you have. If its good the logic board is probably good--if not the logic board likely needs to be replaced. A good logic board but no video on the LCD means a problem with the cable to the LCD or the inverter. Ralph
