Replaced LCD. Screen is black. Able to answer calls and have sound.

I just replaced the LCD on my iphone 4. I cannot see the screen. I do hear sound when receiving messages or even answer calls. I was able to answer a call from my other phone sliding the finger where it should be done. I have rebooted the phone and still nothing. Even though I do not see anything, it kind of works because i was able to answer the call. What's wrong with my phone? Is the LCD messed up? is it some wiring?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

If you were already having this issue then the fix below will not work.

Check the flex cable and clean the contacts with 99% alcohol and a toothbrush (both the logic board and flex contacts). Make sure that the alcohol is at least 92% if you dont have 99%. No need to use much a little will do. Wait a couple of minutes till it dries a put it back together. It should be good. If the screen still is black then your screen needs to be returned.

I have not clean anything inside the phone. Do you think that should make a difference?

You do have to start the process of elimination. cleaning the contacts is a common fix for a new screen fix.

I reconnected my broken screen and it still works and I can see everything on the screen. I put the other two digitizers I have received, and on both of them I cannot see anything. It seems that the digitizer is not working. I need to return the items back.

You can try to reboot.

1- by pressing homebutton and power power button together at least 20 seconds you should see apple logo

Or

2- remove battery and reconnect and press power button you should see appe logo

3- check any physical damage on or around lcd connector. If any resisor missing.

4- new lcd cable maybe bended and broken. Try with new lcd.

Good luck ....
