Doesn't boot after being dropped

MBA 13" Mod.1237

Some unhappy man handed me a MBA 1.generation, that his nephew dropped on the floor. Major visible damage r the torn hinges. But it also doesn't boot; there is a chime, but screen stays bright only. No apple, no 'mill', no bootmanager.

Reacts on alt+cmd+p+r, thats it. No single user mode, no verbose. Tried SMC reset, unplugged the HDD to boot from USB : Nothing!

Any other ideas, than using it for spareparts?

Thanks from Krautland

Try starting up holding down the "R" key. Also try holding down the "Shift key", for safe mode. See if you can find out what operating system it was running. Hook up your Apple external optical drive and start using a retail 10.5.1 + or a 10.6 retail system installation disk and run Disk Utilities.
