MacBook doesn't power up

Hello

I replaced the trackpad of the MacBook Pro 13". Now the Laptop will not powerup with the switch on the KeyBoard.

Because the MacBook works fine till now. My Question? Is it possible to switch the mac on with a shorten direct on the logicboard. In the past some mac has such a layout that you could start it with a screwdriver. I can't find it.

The Logicboard has the part 820-2530

Can someone help me?

Regards

Recheck the cam was unlocked before your inserted the ribbon cable and you inserted it right side up and far enough in and locked the cam down afterward. Recheck the top case ribbon cable connector block - that it's square and fully clicked in.

If those are ok you'll find thaton more recent models they stopped with the pads - from the ribbon cable connector block you have to '''short short pin 5 to pin 29 or ground'''.

Hallo machead3

After disconnect the cam-cable an reconnect the cam-cable I was able to start the mac with shorten the logic board

On the logic board of the MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2009), there are two pads that can

be shorted to power on the system. These pads are located above the trackpad flex cable connector and below the hard drive flex cable connector. The power-on pads are shiny, silver, square, and larger than the other (mostly round) silver pads nearby.

Now I see the keyboard works only on the right part, but not all the key (no delete-key). The replaced trackpad now works.

I refit the keyboard ribbon cable out of its socket a couple of times but this has no impact. Either the keyboard is broken. The ribbon cable is fit as max in the socket.

Any Idea?
