white screen of death! Now no power! Any ideas?

I jail broke my iPhone 3G yesterday. The next morning, I went to unlock it. I just saw the white screen of death. I opened the phone, to make sure the cables were in properly. They were..... I put the phone back together, and now the whole phone is dead. It doesn't even vibrate. And it doesn't charge at all. The phone is just dead!

(When I jail broke I used I file to change the name of my software, that probably doesn't change anything though)

I would be so grateful for any ideas.
