Internal video problem on logic board

Please excuse my bad English!

My macbook pro still have the internal video problem maybe is a fuse or other simple

logic board component easy to replace.

Some weeks ago I posted my problem on iFixit:

LED Back light problems..

(original panel was Samsung LTN154BT03)

I done all what they suggested me.

  • Tested with 2 LED Drive boards
  • Tested with 2 LCD panels one AUO B154PW04 v.6 matte finish and another from LG with a cable converter (from 50pins to 40pins) both displays shown the same issue.
  • Tested with 3 different video cable (593-0766BB).
  • tested DVI, works great I have my old external monitor hooked right now.

I can see the image on LCD but tons it display vertical white lines (1 pixel line is white and the next vertical line works ok). See the pics:

Now I'm sure the problem is on the logic board. This logic board has a good nVidia GPU. My machine has never been "reballing" or fixed previously.

I am trying to find some one who can find the faulty component on my logic board and fixed at a reasonable price.

If someone can fix logic boards at component level please share the info with. Maybe this is a fixable issue without breaking the bank, I can not afford a new computer for now so I need to try the fixing route.

Regards

Connect to an external monitor - if you see the same thing it is the VGU/VGC (logic board). If you do not see the same thing the problem is in the internal display chain, cable, or LCD.

There are professional logic board repair services (this is not a place to locate one) we offer help to DIYers… Computer logic board repair is best left to experienced persons… you need special tools, solder and lots & lots of practice.

You might be able to save a lot of money by pulling and reassembling the logic board… but if your VGU is bad, or has a bad component you're probably best off finding a reputable firm/person to complete that task.
