pb g4 17inch heats up

hi,

i have pb G4 Aluminum 17" 1.5 ghz,

when watching movie, photoshop, illustrator, indesign it heats up. need help please.

It's normal for your PowerBook to heat up during heavy processor loads. But if you feel it's getting to hot it may be time to open it and clean out the fan and any other dust it may have gathered. I've opened these just to fine the fans fairly clean but upon removing the logic board found the vent almost completely blocked and the thermal paste 70% dried out. Hi,thanks for advice ,i will start now and see if cleaning will solve the problem, if not then will buy new Heat Sink & Fan Assembly, but please how much it cost + shipping to UK?
