Lower Mic not working on voice memo and calls after repair

After replacing my earspeaker (with flex/power cable) the lower microphone stopped working (microphone not working during calls or voice memo).

When recording a voice memo and playing it later I can hear some clicking noises.

People who are calling me say they here noises like a fax or something.

I've tried to replace the dock connector with microphone but this didn't help.

Tried to clean all the grounds/connectors with isopropanol, didn't help.

With a headphone/microfoon connected memo and voice calls is working.

Any help/tips are welcome!

Thank you!

The uppr mic is used for Voice Memo and Speaker Calls. First step is to clean the small pin hole at the top of iPhone next to Headphone Jack. Clean this out, use straightened small staple, air, whatever you can.

Hi Brad,

Thank you for your help!

Tried to clean out the small pin hole with compressed air.

No luck.

Speaker mic is working when calling also the mic is working during video capture.

Maybe some other things to try?

Thanks!

Did you ever get your problem fixed? I would be happy to know how, since I ran into the same problem recently. (Camera mic works, speakerphone works for calls and skype, but normal mic does NOT work for voice memos and calls).
