Here is a link to the guide for the machine and another for installing an optical drive. It is a PATA connector you will need to purchase a 7 Pin Serial ATA (SATA) 39" L-Shape (1 Meter) Connecting Cable Straight connector to Left Angle Connector Step #10 shows the logic board connection. Mac Pro models have two front-facing optical drive bays that support two standard dimension 5.25" 3 Gb/s Serial ATA devices (also called SATA 2.0 or SATA II).

To ensure full compatibility, it always is best to buy an optical drive and other upgrades from a trusted company with Mac knowledge for the most trouble-free experience.
