Price of Fixing a Loose Cord is $150, why?

I slipped down the stairs the other day and my phone flew out of my hand onto hard floor. Now half of the screen is covered in vertical white lines that sometimes change colors and that side of the screen does not work. I looked up the problem to find that it was a loose cord and because of faded blue lines also there the LCD was shifted. I went to the store and asked about the price to get it fixed but it was $150. I just want to know why it would cost so much for adjustments, not replacements.

Answer this question I have this problem too

It might actually be a broken LCD, they probably assumed that and therefore charged you for a full replacement.
