Can I remove Display and keep Wifi?

So my Macbook Display is shot, and I was going to remove it, but I realized that either the Wifi Card or Antenna is built into the display.

my question, is it possible to remove the bulk of the display but retain the parts that contain the Wifi? For example, if I go ripping this thing apart, is it fairly obvious what needs to be retained to keep the Wifi? I don't mind if I have a random cable sticking out, or a small component attached to that cable, I just would prefer to loose the bulk of the display so I have easier access to the keyboard and trackpad (right now the frame/hinge area is busted so I pretty much need to keep the computer shut and use an extra keyboard and mouse.

Thanks for your help.
