digitizer / IC connector problem

Hi all,

I do a lot of screen repair with iPads etc. I am working on a mini. I had to DC the old screen from the ic connector and I did it carefully - it looks like where the digitizer connects there are a few "pins" missing I know I have to solder the new digitizer on - but having some pins partially missing - does that mean I need a new ic connector? Thank you for your help!
