battery physical size (in relation with LG G2)

Hi,

may you confirm the physical size of the Nexus 5 is identical to this one of the LG G2?

Is it technically possible to buy the silicon battery of the G2 (3000mah) and install it in the N5 (same connector, same voltage aso)?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I4U, no you can not. The batteriy are different sizes

LG G2 BL-T7 size 55mm wide X 67mm long

Nexus 5 BL-T9 size 57mm wideX 60mm long

and the battery cable is on a different position.

I don't know about the physical size but looking at the LG G2 user teardown and the Nexus 5 featured teardown:

  • Nexus 5 battery reference is BL-T9
  • LG G2 battery reference is BL-T7
  • mAh's are different
  • Finally the battery connectors looks not at the same places

I think we can conclude that you can't install a G2 battery on a Nexus 5, sorry. However, there is Nexus 5 batteries available on internet. Look for "LG BL-T9" on google and don't miss the Nexus 5 Battery Replacement guide on iFixit.
