Can I replace the baseband chip 36my1eh with 36my1ee

i have bricked my iphone 3gs when i used Reds0w & ipad baseband my phone serial starts with 88126 so i thought its safe to flash it with ipad baseband which i was wrong .

so i was wondering if i buy a new baseband chip can i replace the 36my1eh with 36my1ee since the first one is not available in the market ?
