Having the screen replaced. The power turned on indicating a apple sign and phone worked properly. Afterwards I turned the power off than back on to reset the phone with different results. The phone no longer goes on at all. Does somebody know why?

Does iTunes detect it? If so you may need to update your software to the most recent. There is an onboard IC Chip built into the LCD. Aftermarket factories only make these compatible with the most recent software to save money. Start there anyway... If it wasn't reassembled correctly there could be another issue.
