SOLVED: new graphics card booting windows HELP - iMac Intel 20" EMC 2133 and 2210

new graphics card booting windows HELP

so i brought a hp hd2600 mobility off of eBay, then i replaced the existing hd2400 with that. problems below.

it can boot OSX, but i can ONLY operate the computer using splashtop(display streaming to my iPad). OSX does not recognize the new card and graphics are laggy. internal display and dvi port have no signal.

when i set startup disk to windows, it does not work period. not even splashtop. (black screen all the way)

the graphics card flashing software(zues) doesn't flash under OSX because it did not detect any graphics card. so the only way to flash this card is under windows which the mac does not boot.

any ideas?

I assume these pics are from the original graphics board, which clearly is burnt.

You have a very tricked out system here

At this point I think you'll need to get a 2400 XT (new or used) to make sure the system is able to even see it.

Replacing is for the better 2600 Pro should be doable (Others have done it). It's likely the current OS on your HD is missing the driver for it. Do you have the recovery CD/DVD and an optical drive which you can boot the system up with?

i still have the hd2400, the current OS you are talking about is OSX or windows? and what driver are you mentioning?

OS-X needs to work first, then you can try getting BootCamp or virtual machine (VM) {i.e. VMWare} to work afterwards. The pics looked like the card was burn't is it still working? If so you'll need to put it back.

Still works? So running under either Mac OS-X or Windows via BootCamp are OK?

yes, every thing works with hd2400 it is just hd2600 is not working
