How to repair of fold out screen on Pioneer AVIC-Z1?

2006 Pioneer electronic Media PLayer, including Navigation GPS, Sirius Radio, with AM FM CD player, Library,custom installed in 2006 Ford Five Hundred. The fold out screen providing access for CD insertion/ejection will now not open fully and accordingly there is no access to permit ejection or insertion of CDs.

Can this be remedied without removal and return of unit to Pioneer?

Can anyone help and provide possible solutions ?
