How to permanently disable wifi

Want to disable WiFi but still be able to make calls and send text. If I remove the WiFi antenna and do not replace it, when reassembled (without WiFi antennae)will I be able to still make/receive calls and text messages? Do not want to just temporarily disable WiFi. I need to remove and permanently disable it. Thank you for any assistance you can provide

That should permanently disable wifi without interfering with any other functions of the phone except for bluetooth because the wifi and bluetooth antenna are one part. If it does happen to interfere with something else, you can always reinstall the wifi antenna.

I am trying to disable wifi on an iPhone 4.

Just because you disconnected the antenna doesn't kill WiFi services (or any other service you pull the antenna) it only limits the range of the signal.

I don't know of any way to permanently disabling WiFi here other than disabling within iOS its self. Maybe if you explain why you need to do this we could try seeing what options you have.
