Installation BD-ROM instead of DVD optical drive

Is it possible through any adapter to connect SATA BD-ROM to macbook pro early 2008 ?

First have you addressed the software issue, Apple doesn't provide any software to watch or write Blu-Ray on your computer. So you need to use third party softwares to watch, backup, edit and burn Blu-Ray discs.

Ok, I think this software is because they are being sold for models unibody. The question in the plant.

No you can't install a SATA optical player where a ATAPI (PATA) player was. The connections are not comparable and there is no adapter (connector & signal) small enough to fit between.

Toast for Mac offers Blue-Ray support.

If thehardware has a driver (extension) for it then you can find software to make it work. Back in the day we ran a Hack so that PowerBooks could be upgraded from CD players to burners and DVD player/burners. I don't remember the name (it's probably been 10 years since I used it… could have been called Burn… anyway I digress.

I would like an internal blue ray optical drive for a laptop, as the link with EBAY. But there connector SATA , in my Macbook Pro connector atapi. Is it possible to combine them physically?
