Is there still a risk of dust prohibiting function of home button?

I've been using an iPhone 4 before. I've experienced a non-functioning home button due to dust that passed by the dock connecter and ultimately settled down within the home button.

Therefore, and after repairing the home button once, I resolved in using a dedicated anti dust plug.

Has the internals of the 5s changed such that I can use the phone without any additional dust plugs or similar cases without worrying about a future home button's disfunction?

The home button switch is essentially the same. A metal dome covered by a piece of adhesive tape, if the adhesive is sealed properly, nothing will happen.
