Dead battery & display

Hi,

My sun's iPod has 2 issues:

First, the battery has increased in volume... do you know if it's a common problem?

Second, and as a consequence to the first issue the display has been broken! Even the top plastic part is distorted...

So I'm wondering if replacing battery and display will be sufficient or if due to the battery issue some other parts are damaged.

Thanks in avance for your help!

Denis

denisvallin, replacing the battery and the display should be all that it takes. A bad battery should not normally cause any other issues. The parts are readily available at places like this. Those are straight forward repairs, the only thing to watch out for is the battery connector. It has the tendency of breaking of the logic board. Use a paperclip, bend it into an L-shape and use the smaller leg to pull the locking clip straight up to free the cable. Here are the guides for it. Hope this helps, good luck.
