full HD LED replacement unit

Hello,

Does anyone know or had successfully installed a 13" full HD display on the A1278 Mid 2012 unit?

I am using my unit for Video, tried three times with a Retina, which has a perfect resolution but brought me a lot of troubles.

Was waiting for Apples new models, but only again Retina units and no updates to the good old classic line, so I was thinking about doing it myself.

I am looking for a working replacement of the original LED with a full HD display...

Kind Regards in Advance

McEddie

To start with what was the problem you encountered when you used the retina models. You may find addressing the software issue a better direction than trying to reconfigure your display.

Your current displays resolution is 1280x800 what are you looking for?

Hello Dan, maybe my Description is not clear or good to understand.

My Problems with the RETINA are gönne, because After the third change from Apple, i Sold this unit and so not longer interesting in a RETINA.

I own a second MBP 13", the last one with the Classic Unibody and DVD drive and right, the resolution is not, what i am looking for while on the Road and need to Cut Videos with it.

Exacty for that use, i am asking, if anyone do have experience, knows if it is working or had done a replacement of the 13.3" 1280x800 LCD with a 13.3" fullHD screen...

Hope my question will be clear for you and the rest of readers.

Well you're between a rock and a hard place here. There is no display unit that you can swap out for your current LCD display on the 13" units. You can plug in an external monitor with 2560x1600. The only other option here is going with the larger 15" model where you can get the Hi-Res gloss or matte 1680x1050 display (thats the older '12 model)
