PS3 won't fully feed in disks

The drive has been mechanically reset (all the gears were set back in their default places) and feeds the disk in. I'm not sure if the disk isn't going in all the way, or if for some reason the drive can't sense that the disk is in all the way. After a while it just quits feeding and beeps. However, I can get the disk out fine just by pushing eject. However, every time it just keeps trying to feed the disk in when it is already in.

Options

You need a new disc drive. You can find pretty cheap ones on ebay and then switch out parts from the old to new and it'll work like new!
