Why Are my Turtle Beach Ear Force X12's not working?

So i have had my Turtle Beach Ear Force X12's for a week or so and all of a sudden they stop working i can't hear noise or myself in the headphones. I have to wiggle around the for them to work but it only lasts for like 10 minutes. and the cord is loose. please help me i like this headset very much and i don't have enough money for another set.
