Hard drive ribbon cable to chip adhesive?
I tried to pull the connector off the motherboard and the ribbon cable pulled off the connector. Can I glue it back together? What kind of glue?
Is this a good question?

Glue is not conductive. You need to have it repaired with solder... that is not a DIY job. Soldering computer components takes special tools, solder and lots & lots of practice.
If a local professional shop can not help you you'll have to replace the cable & connector.

If you'll give us the last three figures of your serial number, we can identify your machine and get you to the correct part.
