Can't find the Model #

I bought a MacBook Pro on eBay and the model number on the bottom of the case is so scratched I can't read it. Is there another way of finding out what Model I have?

If your system is working you can go to the Apple icon in the menu and select About This Mac Then do into More Info and there you should be able to locate your serial number. With this in hand go to this web site EveryMac and plug in the last three or four digits of your serial number it will give you everything you could ever want to know about your system.
