LCD panel not displaying after digitizer + LCD replacement

Hey everyone,

Ive recently swapped out a digitizer and LCD on an iPad, and now I'm getting no display.

On plugging it into a PC, I hear that it recognizes it, and the PC recognizes it.

Ive checked the latches, and connectors, and everything looks good, and is latching properly.

there is no Dim display with no backlight.

I'm unable to see anything.

Ive entered DFU mode (i think)

and now i can't turn it off, reset it, anything...

But again, still nothing on the display.

Please Help :S

Having just had a similar problem I solved it by putting the old LCD back in, took new digitizer off, rebooted. Now I knew everything was ok...turned iPad off, slide LCD panel up a little to expose digitizer socket, put new digitizer in,turn on iPad. Next, turn off iPad, move digitizer out of the way and remove old LCD. Put new one in, put screens in place without adhesive and check it all works. Seems that contrary to every rule of turning off a device to work on it, if you do that the iPad won't recognize your lovely new screens. Somehow by leaving the iPad on ( but not powered on display) it will believe it still has the original screen on? No amount of restore etc got my iPad to work...kept getting error 3194??

I would guess you only needed to hard reset your ipad after replacing your screens to make it light up, now you will need to restore it if you are correct in saying that it is in dfu mode, if after a restore it is still black try a hard reset, if that doesnt fix it then either the new lcd is bad or while you were replacing the lcd the ipad was turned on and you shorted something out on the logic board and would require a soldering fix and would be tough for you to fix even if you can find the replacement part.
