Can I replace the hard drive with an SSD?

SO I like this guide however can I replace the hard drive with an SSD. Now that 1TB SSD are on the market. I can save $1200 by duping the hard drive and replacing it with a 1TB SSD.

It looks like I need an SSD adapter mount kit and also what about the temperature sensor?

Thanks!

Yes you may run to temperature sensor issues. I would confirm compatibly with someone like OWC before buying anything. Also, I would be very reluctant to put out $1200 on an SSD. Take a look at the new full sized hybrid hard drives. I have been very happy with the laptop hybrid drives (Momentus XT) and am eager to get one of these new drives for my MacPro. I contacted OWC on your problem and there is no SSD with the correct temperature sensors for the 2009 iMac. What they recommend is going to the optical drive bay with this: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/OWC/DDMMC...
