After Dock Connector Replacement, 4S Shows Battery Plug-in Screen Only

What are the most common mishaps/blunders that might have happened when I did the replacement? I'm having difficulty troubleshooting this.

It's possible I got some fingerprints on the dock replacement or that the home screen connection isn't properly connected...but is there any way of knowing what the most likely culprit is?

I think this might be the end for this phone...I've done some other hardware replacements before, but this was more in-depth than I thought. I know I likely botched this all over the place but some guidance would be much appreciated.

Please Help!!!

sounds to me like your battey is dead. leave it plugged in for about 15min. does it show it recognizes the cable? try plugging in the phone with battey disconnected...

It will only show the incredibly dead red batter picture with a plug - indicating the battery is completely dead. I left it in overnight and this is all it will do currently.

Any thoughts on what might not be connected properly then?
