apple juice into dock connetor

Hello all, my wife spilled apple juice into her iphone 4. She had it in her back pocket with bottom facing up and spilled apple juice all over her self and into the dock connector. The iphone was put into rice and left for a few days, but once tried it did vibrate then showed apple symbol and then blank screen. It does nothing now, just a dead rock:(

So I plan to try to fixit myself, I am just wondering what parts do you think are fried on it? What possibilities are there for what parts are to be replaced?

I have not opened it yet as I plan to order tools from ifixit and order parts at same time to save on shipping. Just wondering what parts I should order also.

Also, it does nothing when I plug it into the computer.

Thank you

Who came up with this whole rice thing I would love to no.. It's a joke..

The first thing to do with any liquid damage is to take phone apart right away and clean with 99% alcohol and then let it dry.. Also battery is problem fried so I would try a new1...

Liquid damaged can be fixed but is not 100% fixable

Hope this helps

also, the iphone will do nothing when i try to plug it into the dock connector and try to connect to computer...just does nothing...still think its just the battery?

Is there something else it could be? Or should I just order a new battery and hope that is the problem?

Thanks

Take the battery out then plug in the charger

....and do no longer try to turn it on or charge it until it is cleaned. The repeated attempts can further damage your phone, (think short circuit)

Plugged it in and still nothing!!!
