I just install SSD instead of Superdrive and keep my HDD in place.

Installed system on the SSD . Performed system performance test, SSD read and wright is not more than 50MB per sec. Looks like that slow than HDD.

HDD performed at 70MB per sec. Any Ideas how to improve a speed?

Thanks

You'll need to swap the drives around putting the SSD where the HD is now located to gain the sped benefit of the SATA port. Then put the HD in the Optical drive carrier which has a slower PATA port. While it would be nice to have two higher speed SATA ports you're stuck here with one slower PATA port.

You'll want to swap your drives around putting the SSD where your HD is now and put the HD in the PATA to SATA carrier in place of your optical drive for the best setup.

You will need to extend the HD thermo sensor wire to reach over and put the optical drive thermo sensor onto the SSD. That way the sensors make sense when you are reviewing them in monitoring software.
