Mac freezes for about 1 min and goes on

I replaced the 250GB hard-disk by a flash-drive with the same capacity. I took out the CD/DVD-drive and replaced it by a 1TB hard-disk drive. Since that the mac is running much faster but it freezes up randomize with out any message or indication. It's indicating my work but it's very annoying being interrupted. Does anyone having the same experiences and may can give me advice?

You maybe facing the SATA I/O speed issue. Check you SSD & HD's specs see if they are SATA II (3 Gb/s) not SATA III (6 Gb/s) if they are you'll need to check to see if the HD has a jumper to slow the I/O down to SATA I or SATA II speed. In the case of the SSD you may need to set the I/O via firmware or will need to change out the SSD to a slower SATA II version.

Thank you very much, that sounds logical. So I did some research regarding the SanDisk X110 256GB I putted into my Mac. I capable to run up to SATA III. I couldn't find any description how to slow it down. Does may anybody know how to do? Many thanks in advance.

'here' is just a manor of speech. In this case don't forgot to check your HD's SATA speed as well (here).
